Students’ Portal

UniLab is a student-centred project. The main objective is to help Higher Education Institutions prepare their Bachelor or Master level students, as well as recent graduates, to enter the labour market. To this end, the project has conducted research to develop a model Students’ Portal, and to identify what it should include, in order to ensure that it is focused on the needs of students.

The UniLab Students’ Portal model is available in English. You are invited to visit the UniLab sample portal, and create your profile to test it.

UniLab Code to develop your own Students' Portal

Interested Higher Education Institutions are invited to develop their own portal. UniLab is making the code, as well as guidance on implementing it, available for free.

The code is open source, and when using it, HEIs should acknowledge the project and the European Commission funding.

The entire pack can be downloaded as a zip file through this link. When using any of the materials, please make sure to keep the UniLab project logo and ensure that the European Commission banner is visible at all times.

Creative development process of a Students' Portal: The UniLab recommendation

What do the students need? How can the HEIs help?

How to make the portal useful and attractive? How to organise content to make it easy to find?

Are all the designs possible? Can all the contents be uploaded?

What does the students think about it? What is good and what does not work well?

Have all the suggestions been updated? Is everything in the portal working well?

Have all the stakeholders been invited to visit it? How many individuals have started using the portal?

Who else should know? How can we communicate it?

Does the Portal need anything else? Does everything continue working?
