This article, titled“Retention of apprentices, the key to recruitment for trades with labour shortages: the case of maintenance professions” aims to understand the factors that encourage the hiring of apprentices following their apprenticeship experience in occupations in short supply, and more specifically in the maintenance sector. The aim is to identify the motivations of apprentices but also to demonstrate the important role played by mentors in sustaining an apprenticeship contract.
